3rd DDES inaugurated!

To run untill April 25 with

latest detection tech-n-tools!

Update 1: Third edition of Diamond Detection Expo & Symposium (DDES) inaugurated by Mr Edgard D Kagan, Consul General, United states of America in the presence of Shri Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, GJEPC, Shri Anoop Mehta, President, Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), Shri Praveenshankar Pandya, Past Chairman, GJEPC, Mr Sabyasachi Ray, Chief Executive Director, GJEPC, Mr Dilip Shah, Co-Convenor of the International Exhibitions Sub-Committee of the GJEPC, Ms Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), India and Asia Pacific and amid key players of detection technology exhibitors & diamond fraternity.

Several prominent diamond detection machine manufacturers and certification companies are in the dome & exhibiting their products which detect synthetic diamonds at the world’s largest bourse, BDB, Mumbai.

In a one voice every dignitaries said, there is ‘zero tolerance’ for Synthetic diamonds in the boundaries of BDB & undisclosed mixing is not tolerable at all! In the row GJEPC, the Organiser have arranged several knowledge sharing & seminars for all those three days.

Right after the inaugural, the DDES dome witnessed two seminars. Being a forefront runner GIA commenced Seminar & Mohit Agarwal briefed all about Identifying Synthetic Diamonds. he differentiated & focussed on key areas from where one identify Synthetic diamond easily in general by keeping diamond type & features of synthetic diamonds in mind!

Another key session carried by Mr Anand Sudhir Upadhyaya and Mr. Rajiv Sahastrabudhe of IIDGR and they  elaborated on De Beer's response to undisclosed synthetic diamonds. All those available tech-n-technology offered by IIDGR with their services.

Hence, it is imperative for the gem & jewellery industry to keep abreast about the knowledge & information on synthetic diamonds, its detection through various technologies available! The DDES would conclude on April 25.
