India to observe WYSD on July 15

In the row to observe World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) on July 15, IndiaSkills National Competitions held to boost skill India. This year WorldSkills India organized district and state level competitions across 20 states, followed by 4 regional competitions from March to June 2018.

More than 50,000 competitors across 24 states competed at these competitions. As a next step, the winners from all the state and regional level competitions competed at the IndiaSkills National Competition 2018. More than 400 competitors from across the country competed in 40+ skills at this event.

The event also seen a participation of 50+ corporates through panel discussions and conferences. IndiaSkills also organizes skill demonstration and try a skill for 1,000,000+ school students who visited the competition over 4 days.

On global forum WorldSkills is proud to recognize World Youth Skills Day on 15 July 2018! They encourages to use #SkillsChangeLives and #WYSD to join WorldSkills and the United Nations, to raise awareness on the importance of youth developing skills.

WorldSkills believe #SkillsChangeLives. Through the power of skills individuals, communities, and countries are propelled towards a more prosperous future. To share these stories we partnered with #HashTagOurStories to host free online social media workshops leading up to World Youth Skills Day. Over 70 Competitors, Members and partners took part in the sessions.

WorldSkills Champions Trust representatives were tasked to put their new skills to the test to show us how skills change their lives.
