Maharashtra to announce MSMEs package shortly!

Like the central government, the state government is also planning to help small and medium enterprises. Its preparation is in the final stages. This will be announced after the approval of the Cabinet. This will try to ease the burden of interest on small scale industries, said Industry Minister Subhash Desai here today.

He was speaking at a webinar organized by a media house. Mr. Desai said the industry cycle, which has come to a standstill due to corona, is slowly gaining momentum. At present, 50,000 industries have been started in the state and 13 lakh workers have been recruited in them. 43,000 factories have applied for licenses.

Meanwhile, there is a demand to start trade and shops outside the restricted area in the red zone. The government can take a decision in this regard after June 1, said Shri. Desai said.

The Bureau of Industrial Workers will be launched. Work has started to create a portal for this. Skilled manpower will be registered through this portal. This will ensure that workers are supplied wherever they are needed. Meanwhile, in the last two years, the state government has held Balasaheb Thackeray's job fairs. The Department of Industry has a record of young people participating in this. The youth will also be given employment opportunities.

MID has 40,000 hectares of land with all facilities for foreign investment. Negotiations to attract foreign companies are in the final stages. He appealed to small scale industries from home and abroad to choose Maharashtra to expand their projects.
