Women- essential for economic the growth!

India is the fifth largest economy in the world today. Our country is now moving towards becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy. The contribution of women and their active role will be very necessary and useful to achieve this goal, Governor Ramesh Bais asserted. He was speaking at a program organized by the State Government's Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Governor Bais said that the contribution of women in every sphere of life is great. The saga of women has always been great in the history of Maharashtra. The work of many women like Rajmata Jijau, Rani Lakshmibai, Savitribai Phule, Anandi Gopal Joshi, Lata Mangeshkar is huge.

The state has given the country its first woman President, first woman Lok Sabha Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan. Our Prime Minister considers skill development as a national imperative to make India self-reliant. For this he started a separate skill development department in the central government, this department was also started in the state.

The work and success of this department is now being highlighted. Today, women are starting businesses on a large scale. As a result, economic reforms are being seen at both micro and macro levels. When women are at the forefront, innovation is encouraged, productivity is boosted,

If women entrepreneurs continue to develop continuously, it will definitely promote balanced development in the country. We strive to provide opportunities to the women of India to achieve their full potential, which will further emphasize the rights and welfare of women, said Governor Bais said.
